Background
Ms. Newman is very active in several Washtenaw County civic organizations and serves as trustee on several boards, including the Manchester Village Council, the Manchester Community Schools Foundation, the Manchester Community Resource Center, and the Manchester Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce and the Chelsea Rotary, and is involved with the community health program Washtenaw Steps Up. In 2005, she was named one of Greater Washtenaw County's Top 20 Young Professionals by the Heritage Newspapers-West.
